Brentwood

Brentwood is one of L.A.'s most affluent neighborhoods, located on the Westside between Westwood and Santa Monica. Brentwood began as a Mexican land grant ranch sold off by the Sepulveda family. Its modern development started in the 1880s and today it boasts one of the lowest population densities in the city, with lush green pastures and coral trees along its main thoroughfare, San Vicente Boulevard.

Brentwood is a prosperous neighborhood that is home to many working industry professionals, UCLA students, retirees, and well-educated families. It is located in between other affluent Los Angeles towns such as Bel-Air, Pacific Palisades, and Santa Monica. Like most of Los Angeles, there are many tourists in the area, mostly because of its high concentration of celebrities proximity to the beach, central location, and overall safety. Although Brentwood is among Los Angeles' most desirable neighborhoods, it is also extremely low-key and subtle. Simply driving through the area, you would never realize that many high-profile celebrities reside along the inner streets lined with palm trees. This is definitely a neighborhood that has found a successful balance between work and play.
